To pay homage to their California heritage and their signature sneakers, The Classic, K-Swiss is launching 12 film shorts on “Things that are Classic” starting today and successively launching on viral networks throughout the remainder of the year. Peep the first film “K is for Kalifornia” (through the lens of Rick & Buddy of the famed Six Stair productions).

Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas and NY-based footwear brand, JUMP have teamed up for a limited-edition collaboration of sneakers called JUMPXTABOO. Pictured here are Taboo with Kanye West and artist/producer/DJ – David Guetta. Taboo, a self-professed sneakerhead and sneaker collector, visited the JUMP boutique at 89 Spring St. in SoHo and first saw the Zeto, the style that would eventually become his own signature model. Taboo worked with the team at JUMP to design four different color ways: black, gold, red, and white. The shoe was released exclusively for sale at Saks Fifth Avenue, but has since been released to other retailers, including Bloomingdales. Each pair is packed in a limited-edition satin bag and drawer box.

The Jordan Laney 5 (V) has become a favorite among Jordan connoisseurs, but since the Laney V has been out of circulation for years, the 60+ pair may help fill a void. The Laney 60+ sneakers are now available at UTA for $20 under retail with free shipping.

Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2010 Footwear line has emerged. The sneakers (high and low top) are very basic, neutral colors and not a lot of frills. The cool textures on the checkerboard print look sharp, and appear to be leather and suede; reminiscent of the Louis Vuitton Damier high tops. Now that Marc Jacobs designs for Louis Vuitton, he’s seemingly borrowing from himself! No word on the prices as of yet.

The Air Griffey Max 1 Anthracite/Black Hot Red White has slowly trickled into stores, many of which are already sold out. Since their original release, Nike Air Griffey sneakers have been on the hot list of many sneaker connoisseurs, many of which were happy to find a used OG pair in their size. The image of what is rumored to be called the Air Jordan Alpha 1 has surfaced. We were told that the Jordan Alpha 1 series will initially hit retailers in two colorways, beginning in Spring, 2010. The colorway of the Size 9 sample (pictured) is reminiscent of the Original Air Jordan I (1) White-Black-Red scheme, which is a grail Jordan to many collectors. To those who cannot afford to pay thousands for a vintage Air Jordan 1 from 1985 (or a 1994 retro model), this colorway of the Jordan Alpha 1 may possibly fill a void. Via Shoe York

Those who are fortunate enough to own the Infrared Air Jordan 6 (VI) know how fresh it is to lace up their pair. Images of the 2010 ‘Infrareds’ have just surfaced, and most will be surprised at how clean the sneakers look. The shoes are highlighted by Chicago Bulls colors, and most clearly, an icey sole. The Infrared Jordan release date is still unknown, but rumored to be in 2010. The Air Jordan Spacejam release has been marked on most calendars for the holiday season, there is a chance that the Infrared 6 will drop in time for the 2009 holiday season as well. Brand Jordan has a tendency to release Black/Red colorways close to Christmas; with the most recent example being the 2008 Air Jordan 11/12 countdown pack, which originally scheduled to release after the holiday.
