Last week we were able to show you the home version of the “Big Stage” Nike Zoom Kobe V, which, as we explained, highlights the accomplishments of the Black Mamba during the 2009-2010 NBA regular season. However, as the NBA Finals moves to Boston, Nike prepared the away version of this Nike Zoom Kobe V for what last night resulted in a winning effort. Let us know which version appeals to you more and why after the jump. But we still don’t have any release information regarding either version, so keep your fingers crossed.

Throughout the 2010 NBA Finals, Kobe Bryant and a number of his teammates will be wearing a special edition “Big Stage” colorway of the Black Mamba’s fifth Nike Zoom Kobe sneaker. Moreover, he’ll be wearing it in hopes that it’ll help him attain his fifth NBA championship ring. That said, Foot Locker deemed it an appropriate time to highlight the history behind the five Nike Zoom Kobe shoes for those of you interested. If you want to simply test your Nike Zoom Kobe IQ or know that you could use the history lesson, check out the online History of Nike Zoom Kobe timeline today.

Last night, the 2010 NBA Finals kicked off with a star-studded casting list both on and off the court. We knew before the game last night that the Nike Zoom Kobe V “Big Stage” would be making an appearance on the feet of Kobe Bryant. What we didn’t know was that Rasheed Wallace would try to steal the sneaker show with some help from a predominantly green patent leather Nike Air Force 1 high that sports the Rasheed silhouette in black towards the heel of the shoe. Take a look at some action shots of both players and let us know which pair you’d most want to get your hands on.

For the 2010 mid-season NBA classic, Nike prepared a special edition Nike Zoom Kobe V for the All-Star to where. Now it’s only fitting that Nike do the same following the conclusion of a great NBA regular season and just before the NBA Finals kicks off. Pictured here, this Nike Zoom Kobe V comes in a white/gold colorway with a bunch of lasered detailing paying homage to a number of Kobe’s accomplishments during the 2010 NBA regular season. Among those numbers are his 391 rebounds, 365 assists, 113 steals, the 25,207th point he broke the all-time Lakers scoring record with, and the 25,970 points he ended up with at the end of the regular season. Take a look, and start praying now if you want a shot at copping these.

It was all the way back in June of 2009 that we brought you a sneak peek at a production sample pair of a Nike Hyperdunk that drew inspiration from the Aston Martin commercial where Kobe Bryant appears to have jumped straight up into the air in order to evade an Aston Martin speeding directly towards him. We’ve gotten better glimpses of that shoe and an accompanying Nike Zoom Kobe V since then, but now we have some concrete release information. This pack of Nike basketball sneakers will release from the House of Hoops location in Los Angeles, California beginning this Friday, May 14th in VERY limited numbers. PLAN AHEAD, and good luck!

I mean, it really was only a matter of time before Nike unveiled a colorway we should’ve all expected to be implemented on the Nike Zoom Kobe V- “USA Basketball.” Now we invite you to join us on a closer look at the aforementioned, patriotic colorway of the Nike Zoom Kobe V before any concrete release information becomes common knowledge. From the pictures, you’ll be able to see how different angles of incoming light might make the shoe more or less shiny. You will also be able to see the “KB” and “24″ that read at the very toe of the right and left shoe, respectively. How’s this colorway rank among your favorite of the Nike Zoom Kobe V?

The last close look we got at a Nike Zoom Kobe V it was one in a black/dark grey-varsity purple colorway. Now we have a more meaningful colorway. Pictured here is the Nike Zoom Kobe V “USA Basketball,” which has evidently been designed in honor of the USA basketball team and this nation’s flag colors. It will be interesting to see who else, besides the Black Mamba himself, laces up this Nike Zoom Kobe V during the upcoming FIBA World Basketball Championship. For now, enjoy the pictures of this patriotic colorway and stay tuned for any developing news regarding release information.

Kobe Bryant and his Los Angeles Lakers are getting everything that the Oklahoma City Thunder can possibly dish out during this first round NBA playoffs match-up. To bounce back, it looks as though the defending champions will have to dig deep within themselves and use every possible advantage, including perhaps even the Black Mamba’s renowned Nike Zoom Kobe V. Pictured here, however, is a black/dark grey-varsity purple Nike Zoom Kobe V that will release in July, just after the NBA playoffs are done. So until then, enjoy more pictures of this upcoming Nike Zoom Kobe V colorway after the jump, and continue to enjoy a riveting series between the NBA giants and the league’s new generation.

We previewed the Nike Zoom Kobe V (5) “Charlotte Hornets Draft Day” back in February 2010, and we are now receiving word that sneaker has begun to hit select Nike retailers. This ZK 5 is inspired by the team that originally drafted Kobe Bryant, the Charlotte Hornets; thus, the sneaker hosts a white upper with orion blue, varsity purple and black accents. The Nike Zoom Kobe V (5) “Draft Day” is now available at certain online retailers and select stores across the nation.

Earlier this year, Nike iD hosted a contest open to all U.S. residents to design a new colorway of the Nike Zoom Kobe V (5) that Kobe Bryant and a few of his fellow Lakers would be wearing on April 11, 2010. The sneaker that was eventually picked was this style designed by KidHollywood, a 28 year old that was born and raised in Los Angeles. The winning design features a white leather upper with metallic silver accents (“meant to represent how [Kobe] shines on the court”) on the ankle collar, paneling, and toecap, purple accents on the inner lining and laces, gold accents on the swoosh border and tongue, and an icey sole (meant to represent the ice in Kobe’s veins). Be sure to check out the “KidHollywood” Nike Zoom Kobe V (5) iD on the feet of several Lakers players as they take on the Portland Trailblazers this afternoon.

Yesterday we gave you a look at two more Nike Zoom Kobe V PEs- one for the USC Trojans basketball team, which, unfortunately, did not make the NCAA tournament cut and one for the Duke Blue Devils, who, in-turn, snagged a number one seed in the tourney. We were also informed that both pairs had begun arriving at House of Hoops location nationwide, but the Duke Blue Devils PE will actually be seeing a release TOMORROW, March 17th, 2010 from House of Hoops and FootLocker spots nationwide. Is anyone eyeing either of these university Nike Zoom Kobe V PEs?

Though many of you may not remember, back in June of 2009, we showcased an early production sample of the “Aston Martin” Nike Hyperdunk, and we now have the entire package and more information to share. Nike will be releasing the Zoom Kobe V (5) and the Hyperdunk together; the Hyperdunk will host a metallic silver upper accented by a white swoosh, white flywire, and red inner lining, while the ZK5 will yield a dark grey upper with black, white, and red accents. The release details are not certain as of yet, so be sure to stay tuned for any new updates.
