Tretorn x Comme des Garcon Shirt – Nylite, T-56 & T-56 Mid

Tretorn x Comme des Garcon Shirt

If you are looking for a hip, alternative look, check out these kicks that will be released as a collaboration between Trentorn and Comme des Garcon SHIRT. Tretorn, a brand from Sweden, features three of their classic models – Nylite, T-56 and T-56 Mid.

The first thing you notice when you look at these shoes is the graphics that appears to be hand written. It’s a look that you don’t see very often but it actually adds some life to these shoes. This lettering takes inspiration from the Comme des Garcon SHIRT upcoming line. Outside of the text, the colors and shape of the kicks are relatively standard. For more information regarding the release date and the availability, check out Tretorn.com. Via Hypebeast.

Nike Air Digs High

The Nike Air Digs High is a classic women’s shoe. The Nike Air Digs was originally released in 1991. It was made as a women’s volleyball sneaker. The shoe contains rubber mesh on the side panels and it has plastic lace holders. Please look for these shoes at the Nike website.

The toe box starts with a mesh. The mudguard is curved. There is another mudguard over the front portion of the toe box. There are two grey colored leather straps. They are at the start and end of the shoe lace system. The broad tongue ends in a Nike label tag. The Nike swoosh is a nice pink accent on the midsection. The midsole has a line of pink accent sandwiched between the white layers. The outsole is a layer of gum.

The inner lining of the shoe is teal colored to contrast with the rest of the shoe. The ankle of the shoe has a white collar and another decorative collar with vertical lines. The back of the heel has green teal, covered by a later of rubber mesh. The colors are subtle and do not distract the eye. The build of the shoe ensures maximum comfort while giving good performance. Color Bar Superstars

Kelly Pittman from KP’s Customs in Nova Scotia created these custom Superstars for a friend going by the name McG. The theme of the Color Bar Superstars is the colorful stripes that appear on a TV at the end of a broadcast day. You can search for KP’s Customs on Facebook and email krp25@hotmail.com to find out more about the designer.

KP started out with gray as the backdrop on the back half to let the colors stand out. A TV camera and old television set are depicted against the gray background on the outside of the right shoe. KP switched it up by placing a set of headphones with the name McG on the inside of the left shoe. KP also played around with a microphone and a mix tape on the remaining spaces.

The most notable features of the Color Bar Superstars are the wild colors used on the Adidas stripes and laces. KP switched out the bland tri-stripe with yellow, green and red stripes. The spaces between these stripes are filled with red and sky blue, the latter color matching the eyelets. The designer topped these customs off with some multi-color laces to match the tri-stripe colors.

Black mesh, canyon gold mesh, and an Air Max cushioning unit? To quote Wu-Tang, “The saga continues, the saga continues!” The Nike Air Max Light Black/Canyon Gold should suit you and your Clan perfectly, as it balances comfort and sleek styling much like the RZA handles himself in the production room. Unfortunately, the reissued model is available exclusively in Europe. Via JD Sports.

Flexmaster Dee Adidas Superstar II

DJ Flexmaster Dee is a prominent Swish DJ and manager of several DJ crews. Sole Brother Customs was tasked with celebrating the man’s work on a pair of Adidas Superstar IIs. I found the Flexmaster Dee Superstars at Sole Brother’s website linked here.

Sole Brother applied logos for Flexmaster Dee’s crews, The Bumsquad DJs and DJ League Europe, on the black and gray heels. Along the exterior sides of both shoes, the designer has created a nice black/white depiction of a turntable arm and record. Flexmaster Dee’s name along with his unofficial title, “The Swiss Heavyweight,” are written in alternating black/white colors just past the middle panel.

The simple colors on the Flexmaster Dee Superstars allow the DJ’s name and logos to speak for themselves. Instead of playing with the bright colors at the dance club, Sole Brother focused on the finer details on these no-nonsense sneakers. DJ Flexmaster Dee’s reputation continues to build as evidenced by the creation of these outstanding custom sneakers.

Air Jordan I (1) Retro High Premier - Pewter / Black - Max Orange

We gave you a preview of this Air Jordan I (1) months ago and we now have actual pictures of the pair to share. Featuring a pewter (silver) upper with a black midsole and max orange accents, this pair seems to yield a pretty simple colorway. The use of black laces and a metallic swoosh are great touches added by Jordan Brand to take this sneaker to the next level. We are almost coming to think that someone over at Jordan Brand has an obsession with max orange for it will be also featured on the Air Jordan I (1) Retro High – Black/Max Orange-White as well as the Air Jordan I (1) Retro Low Velcro – Black/Max Orange. The Pewter Air Jordan 1 Retro High’s, along with the two aforementioned sneakers, will drop on February 14, 2009. Via lowtex.

Air Jordan 2009 (2K9) Available Early

Air Jordan 2009 (2K9) Available Early

The Air Jordan 2009 has been making huge sneaker news since rumors of its conception dropped early last year. The time has almost come for the AJ 2009 to released and it has now started popping up at online retailers. There is an exclusive limited release of the Air Jordan 2009 scheduled for January 31, 2009 with a suggested retail price of $230 and a nationwide release on February 14, 2009 with a suggested retail price of $190. The latter of those two releases has appeared on an online retailer for $15 less than retail price. It is not looking too good for Jordan Brand with this release considering that a full-size run is still available in the sneaker even after it is being sold for under the suggested retail price. You can wait until next month to cop your pair at an Air Jordan retailer near you or pick up your pair right now at PYS.

Puma Fall 2009 First Round “Soda Pack”

Puma Fall 2009 First Round “Soda Pack”

As a sneakerhead who’s also a closet foodie, (Seriously, Travel Channel should let me co-host with Bourdain on No Reservations…) I’m enthralled with the PUMA First Round Pack. The reissued high-top borrows inspiration from the sugary carbonated drinks we all dig, and admittedly, drink too frequently. I’m guessing Sunkist and 7 UP encouraged these particular First Round Mids, but am interested in hearing what you guys think, too. The PUMA First Round “Soda Pack” should release sometime later this year. Via hs.

Splatter Air Force Ones

KickerBockerGlory has been on a roll lately with a series of custom Nikes that cannot be beat. The Splatter Air Force Ones come in a size 10 UK and are available from the designer’s website linked here. The vibrant and colorful design is something we are accustomed to with KickerBockerGlory but he has raised the bar a bit higher with these customs.

The entire upper is covered in turquoise and orange dots that look like they were applied from a distance. Instead of looking like an unmitigated mess, the Splatter Air Force Ones ended up as a colorful stroke of genius. The Nike symbol on the midsole and the swoosh is a bright green hue that stands apart from the more subdued splatter spots.

KickerBockerGlory created a matching T-shirt that is available when purchasing the Splatter Air Force Ones. You can check out the website linked above to find shipping rates and other information on this great example of sneaker art.

Renowned as one of the premier companies that offer workout apparel for top athletes and gym rats alike, Under Armour has now expanded its reach into the competitive athletic shoe market with an extensive line of running shoes that will drop at retailers starting January 31st.

The new line features proprietary technology called called Cartilage. Appropriately named, as the independent suspension system works like a “connective tissue” between a runner and his environment to enhance performance and provide an exceptionally stable and smooth ride.

Ranging in price from around $85-120, the line will launch with both road and trail shoes and are endorsed by NFL players Santana Moss and Brandon Jacobs, as well as the winner of the 2007 Ford Ironman Chris McCormack. An impressive launch by any standards–and if their shoes are anything like their athletic wear, you are bound to see Under Armour on trails and street everywhere soon.

Nike Air Force II (2) High Premium - Gucci - Now Available

The Nike Air Force II (2) High Premium – Gucci started hitting retailers a while ago, but if you weren’t lucky enough to grab a pair, this article will bring some good news for you. The Gucci inspired Air Force 2 seen above has hit Nike.com and is currently available for $102. Featuring a predominately black leather upper, the supposedly Gucci inspired accents are rare and a bit hard to see at first. At closer look, one can pick up the green and red accents on the side, the tongue, and the rear. Though these are not officially inspired by Gucci, the resemblance is quite obvious after seeing the whole sneaker. You can pick up your pair right now by clicking the link below.
