Nike ACG Boots Collection – black colorway.

Source of image: here.

In the month of November, 21 Mercer will be organizing an exhibition of the latest Nike ACG Boots collection. This is a new line that features new boots. The brand tries to use the latest technology and designs. The line will use the tried and tested ACG technical features and retain the good qualities of the ACG collection.

The photo shows one of the boots in a black colorway. The boot has a small toe box. The mud guard around it extends to become the midsection of the boot. There are a series of grooves cut into the leather of the boot. The big grooves have smaller grooves cut into the leather. The collar around the ankle of the boot is made of smooth leather. The entire colorway is black and the design depends on the pattern of grooves that are channelled into the material. The midsole of the boot looks striking. The midsole is curved to follow the arch of the foot. There are tiny holes to provide a pattern. Half way down the midsole, there is a series of clear windows. The last layer of the boot is the outsole. This has deep treads cut into it. These boots are meant for rough usage.

Air Jordan 1 Low Velcro -White – Red – Black

This newest member to the Jordan 1 family was molded after the Jordan Phats but with an extra twist. At first glance of this Jordan 1 Velcro, you might think it was another fusion. Instead, it’s a Jordan 1 inspired by the Air Jordan XX. Just like Mike’s 20th signature shoe these too feature lasering but on the Velcro straps, and side panels. The black nubuck and red patent leather seen on the back half of the shoe were also on the Jordan XX. These are set to release along with the featured before black – white Jordan 1 High Straps on November 22nd. Vs: SN

Release Date: 11/28/2008
Name: Air Jordan 1 Low Velcro
Style #: 339894-161
Colors: White/Varsity Red-Black
Price: $100

Air Jordan 1 High Strap – White – Black – Varsity Red

This upcoming Jordan 1 High Strap wears a color way never seen before on this revolutionary basketball shoe. Some might say the color way resembles the OG black – white color way that was recently retroed in last months Countdown Package. Whatever the case may be we do know this color way brings a new refreshing feel to the Jordan line.

The red accents on the outsole act as a flavor enhancer, bringing some spice to these plain black and white sneaks. White leather was used on the swoosh, heel and toe cap while soft black nubuck was used on the remainder of the shoes. If you can’t quite get with the high straps the ankle strap is removable, so you can rock them with their AJKO swag. Look for these to appear at Jordan retailers on November 22nd and will retail for about 110. Via:SN

Nike SB Dunk High – Quagmire

Move over Simpsons there’s a new cartoon tearing into the Nike SB spotlight with the discovery of this “Quagmire” Nike SB Dunk High. This Dunk High was inspired by the popular Family Guy cartoon character, Quagmire, and features the red shirt and blue pants that he commonly wears in the show.  The sneaker sports blue suede on the toe, lacing area, and at the top of back heel with red suede and golden stars decorating the sides and half of the back heel. Currently there’s no release date information available but it’s rumored to drop in 2009.

Custom Nike Dunk High “Tokyo Express”

JGoods is known for creating some pretty outrageous sneakers and these Nike Dunk High Toyko Express customs are right up there with his other work. The Rising Sun on the heel in red and the Japanese witting in white with a red outline are all nice touches which JGoods added to these customs dunks. What catches my eyes the most is that stripe design which is laid out on the lace tabs. Loving the fact how that same design is carried over to other parts of the sneaker to add to its look. A pair of customs like this from JGoods will run you around the ball park of $1,200, but if you look at the detail put into these, and the other customs, and think about the time it takes to put together something as fresh as this, its worth the price if you can swing it. Designs like this you would expect to see as official releases, you gotta pay for quality. This is one of the few latest custom sneakers by JGoods so make sure to check out the site here to see more.

Custom Nike Dunks ‘Do The Dew’

These custom Nike Dunks caught my attention right away. Artist Dez created these custom dunks with a Mountain Dew theme to go along with his Mountain Dew Green Label Art tundra bottle. Thats right, Dez is one of the six lucky artists who were able to catch the eye of the people at Mountain Dew during the Green Label Art design contest. An award of this nature is more then enough to celebrate seeing how Dez was added to the list with legendary artists such as Haze.

So to take things one step further, and to celebrate the award, Dez went ahead and put together the Do The Dew Dunks. The fading between the 2 shades of green is mint, and the splatter effect on the back gives it a nice little touch that you may not notice at first. One of the sneakers says ‘Do The Dew’ and the other sneaker says ‘Dunk The Dew’ and both are done in a stylish graffiti font. These sneakers are so fresh and so clean that you would believe they were straight from the factory with a paint job like that.

Skull Gang Air Force Ones

Designer Charles Brown of Cr3@Tive Mind Customz has come out with a pair of custom Nike Air Force Ones based on a distinctive T-shirt. The Skull Gang AF1s are modeled on a blue Skull Gang T-shirt with a pink skeleton sporting gold teeth. These custom sneakers were found on Brown’s Customsnkr.com blog linked here.

The toe box and heel of the Skull Gang AF1s match the light blue background of the shirt. The light blue elements are framed by pink paint that is comparable to the skeleton’s thin features. The designer substituted gold for neon green on the middle panel and the Nike swoosh. Brown found matching laces for all three colors to complete these shoes with a bit of flair.

While Brown didn’t specify if these shoes were for himself or a client, I think the shoe works well with the Skull Gang T-shirt. If Charles Brown can keep up this level of quality in future customs, he should gain a following among clothing and sneaker fans.

Custom Nike Dunk “Reused”

These custom dunks dubbed “Reused” are stitched up by an ISS/NikeSB member by the name of Hhaseanski. The “Reused” theme couldnt of been carried out anymore then it has here. Your probably asking yourself what is a “reused” theme. Well as the story goes Hhaseanski ripped a pair of his favorite plaid shorts,  he was sort of upset over the situation. As he was about to throw them in the garbage he thought to himself hey im a customizer, since i liked these so much why dont i try and reuse the material on a pair of sneakers.

So thats just what he did. However, the Reused theme goes one step further. The plaid material which use to make up a pair of shorts was laid down on top of a previous custom sneaker which didnt come out as expected. So not only is the material reused, a pair of old customs were reused. The stitching could be a little cleaner but as is it sort of gives it that raw look. Hhaseanski also added a custom tag on the tongue to match with his signature.

Nike Air Force 1 “Rainbow Glass”

Here are a pair of custom Nike Air Force 1s by Mateo Acrylics. Mateo is calling these “Rainbow Glass” as the sneakers carry a very colorway design from top to bottom. The fading between the colors on the upper is some of the nicest fade jobs i have seen and the multi color sole to match is killing it. Also take notice to the multi colored stitching on the midsole which matches the colors Mateo used on the upper design and the colors used on the sole. Not to take away from the rainbow theme Mateo stuck with the multi color laces which came with the base sneaker. And it goes without saying, no custom would be complete without the customizers tag included, so just like every other pair hes done Mateo added a custom tag to the tongue. Earlier this year i wrote about a pair Air Jordan Fusion 3 Rainbow Glass so go check that out also.

Tribal Shadow Air Force Ones

Fresh and Fly Customs decided to go stealth with his designs when creating the Tribal Shadow Air Force Ones. These custom Nikes look pretty simple with a quick glance but a closer look reveals the designer’s taste for the subtle. The Tribal Shadow Air Force Ones were found on Fresh and Fly’s Customsnkr.com blog linked here.

These Air Force Ones start out with an interesting purple/red colorway that may seem bland to some sneaker fans. Fresh and Fly added a tribal pattern in a glossy purple hue on top of the purple base to give the viewer a surprise. When the Tribal Shadows are held up to the light, the viewer can see an intricate tribal pattern that is well executed by Fresh and Fly.

This hidden tribal pattern is not the only surprise awaiting viewers of the Tribal Shadows. Fresh and Fly stuffed and restitched the tongues with purple thread to match the base color. The designer applied red paint in the small holes on the toe box to match the Nike swoosh and heel tag. While the Tribal Shadow Air Force Ones may not be the flashiest shoes around, they offer surprises around every corner.

Nike SB Dunk Low Premium “Mosquito”

When pictures of this SB Dunk low first surfaced it was around the time of the Donatello SB Mid. The info that surfaced along with the images dubbed them the Michelangelo’s and gave hope to a TMNT pack. Not to say that such a pack isn’t a possibility but if it were these wont be a part of it. This muli-colored SB low actually drawns its inspiration from the Mosquito. A mixture of 3M, suede, patent and regualr leather along with a speckled midsole make up this premium dunk. No word on release date or availability but Kix-Files is now accepted pre -orders for 125.

Nike Air Max 90 Premium Grey

Location of image: here.

This is a new design of the Nike Air Max 90 Premium. It has been nicknamed by some stores as the “iD Sample”, because it bears a strong resemblance to the samples you see inside a Nike iD studio all over the world. The shoe upper is deliberately made with a wide mix of materials. Price: £88.99 (€124.59). Wellgosh sells them. Wellgosh calls these sneakers the Nike Air Max 90 Premium Grey.

The shoe upper is made of several shades of grey. The toe box is made of dense mesh material. The toe cap and surrounding mudguard extends to the midsection. The toe box and mudguard are in different shades of grey. The shoe lace region is a separate panel of grey with a pattern of lines on it. The shoe lace is grey to coordinate with the overall look of the sneaker. There are extra sets of shoe lace holes and these are more for a decorative purpose. The midsection is taken up by the high mudguard. The ankle of the shoe has a thick collar made of the same material as the toe box. The back tab at the heel is a piece of leather with the word Nike, and a swoosh. The background has horizontal stripes. The midsole and outsole are in a lighter shade of grey.

Reebok x Leaders 1354 – Reverse Jam

Nike seems to be getting all the love these days but Reebok has intensions on changing that Novemeber 8th. Ever since images of Chicago boutique Leaders 1354’s collaboration with Reebok hit the web they became an instant hit and have been burned into minds all across America. Hopefully this post can provide a little relief to those scorching brains out there.

For their first collab with a sneaker company Leaders chose to create a shoe that means a little something to them. The inspiration for these mutli-colored kicks comes from the Chicago Transit Authority. The transparent sole depicts a map of the subway routes in their represented colors. Those same colors were also used to speckle the grey midsole and laces (red and blue laces also included). This shoe also incorporates a variety of materials from 3M to ostrich. The grey upper helps bring some tranquility to the very busy color way. These will be available November 8th at Leaders1354 along with the matching fitted. Via: Leaders1354
