Nike Terminator Hi Snakeskin

Source of images: here.

This Nike Terminator Hi snakeskin is sold at Atmos. It costs 17,000 Yen to buy 1 pair.

This shoe has a blue colorway and is almost completely covered in snakeskin. The toe box is in snakeskin. It is framed by a mudguard in light blue leather. The same colored leather is used in the shoe lace region. The lace is also in light blue and this makes the panel look good as the uniform color is continued.

The main body of the shoe upper is in snakeskin that has been dyed blue and black. The Nike swoosh and the back tab are in light blue color. At the bottom of the heel, the brand name, Nike, has been allocated in a stenciled design into the snakeskin. The letters are dyed white. The quality of the snakeskin can be seen to be excellent. The metallic blue and black color is outstanding.

The midsole is white and the outsole is light blue. The standard use and rotation of the colors in this shoe maintains a smooth, sleek look for the sneaker.

The tongue is in light blue leather and the tip has a matching light blue tab with the brand name in dark blue. I’ll love to own a pair of these hot shoes. I think they look great for casual and night wear.

Converse Fast Break 2

Converse Fast Break 2

If you are a fan of old school kicks like the Converse Fast Break, you will love this new colorway that is about to drop.

The Converse Fast Break was a popular basketball shoe in the 80’s, particularly for point guards. In July, they’ll be releasing a variety of makeups that are actually very affordable. This red, white and black model has old school appeal and a little modern appeal. You can get these for only $70 at Converse.com. Via Complex.

Lucky Air Force Ones

These Nike Air Force Ones were posted to the C2 Customs website recently. Chris Hui was hired by his barber Lucky to produce a pair of high-quality customs. Hui responded with a pair of custom Air Force Ones dubbed “Lucky” that honor his barber.

Lucky asked for a pair of sneakers that looked like they had just traversed puddles of blood. Hui’s custom sneakers take this initial suggestion to a whole new level. The saturation of red paint on the toe box trails off rapidly as the viewer’s eye drifts back to the Nike swoosh. There are spots of red paint underneath the laces and beneath the swoosh to create the splatter effect.

The “Lucky” Air Force Ones are well-crafted but I am not sure I would want to go to a barber with a pair of bloodied sneakers. I am a big fan of the font and size used for “Lucky” on the back heel. It stands out from the white heel panel and provides a nice counterpoint to the bloody toe box. C2 Customs can be contacted through the website linked above for readers that want their own pairs of custom kicks.

Nike Blazer High - Midnight Navy-Metallic Silver - #1

If you are looking for a clean shoe to rock this summer, consider these kicks. These Nike Blazer Highs have an old school look and make the perfect casual shoe. Due to its relatively simple color scheme, you can wear this with most of the clothes in your wardrobe.

Midnight navy is the most prominent color on this shoe. To contrast the midnight navy, bright white is used on the laces and on the sole. The Nike swoosh uses a light shade of metallic silver to give these sneakers some sparkle, and the heel tab is Varsity Red. These shoes are available now at Premium Laces for $75. Expect them at most Nike retailers within the next couple weeks. Via Sneaker News.

Nelly Air Jordan XXIII

Air Jordan XXIII All American Classic

Souce of image: here

Seen being worn by Nelly at the BET awards is this pair of Air Jordan 23. Clearly the hottest colorway among the Jordan 23s, the shoes feature a red midsole and a stitching pattern similar to the Titanium 23s.

Nelly is a co-owner of the Charlotte Bobcats along with Jordan himself. This may be why the former is able to get such an amazing pair of Jordans. The shoes bear a striking resemblance to the Air Jordan 23 All American Classics.

Rumors say that the pairs will release in November 2008. Let’s just hope that JB doesn’t change its mind because these shoes are fire.

New Balance 576 Mexican Blanket Edition

One of the most recognizable materials is that which comprises the Mexican blanket, favorite of tourists and residents of our neighbor to the south alike. Made popular recently by the P-Rod version for Nike SB, New Balance brings their own version to market to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the popular 576 model.

Available in limited release now in Japan, look for them stateside--or on eBay--soon. Photo courtesy of Hypebeast.

Nike Star Classics Honor Table Tennis

Occasionally at work, while waiting for my daily caffeine injection, I watch in amazement at some of my fellow colleagues who take charge of the table tennis table [aka ping pong for the backyard BBQ players] and wonder at their abailties.

Fellow blogger Jeff Staple, the genius behind Staple Design, posted some wicked pictures on his blog showing the new Nike Star Classics that have an obvious nod to the table tennis culture on the back heel.  No word on availablity, but will keep a keen eye out--and one on the ball.

This Greedy Genius King Of Sneakers is very colorful. This is the second edition. The shoe is sold at selected, authorized Greedy Genius dealers.

This sneaker features a lime nappa leather upper. The toe box is lime green. It has a line of perforations. There is a panel with a parallelogram and a cross stitched in the center. The mid-section of the shoe has many details. There are 2 panels of blue colored accents. These have several lines of machine thread stitched over them. There are 2 small holes framed in orange colored rings. Near the heel, there is an embroidered design in orange, brown and white thread. The panel of leather at the heel has light green colored leather. This segment is printed with the words, “I Am The King Of Sneakers.”

The ankle of the shoe has a thick band of purple colored composite material. The inner lining of the shoe is purple in color. The tongue is light blue in color, with a lime green label tag at the tip. The shoe laces are colorful, having orange and purple. The midsole is orange and the same shade as the shoe lace. I like the cool, lime green color of the shoe.

My favorite horror movie of all time is Tobe Hooper’s Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The original movie is a fantastic blend of suspense, horror and outright gore that has spawned thousands of horror movies in the last three decades. Sweatshop Clothing is honoring the 2003 remake of this movie with a pair of custom Nike Air Force Ones.

I am not a big fan of the remade Texas Chainsaw Massacre but this shoe is a pretty great representation of both movies. There is a silhouette of Leatherface’s chainsaw blade cutting from the heel to the end of the Nike swoosh. The background represents the stitched and wrinkled face of the movie’s antagonist Leatherface. The toe boxes are a mixture of black and red that show the fate awaiting anyone chased down by Leatherface and his family members.

The reason why I love these Air Force Ones so much is that they are well-designed and executed. Sweatshop’s fine touches with the stitching and the chainsaw blade would not look out of place on a movie poster. These shoes and other projects by Sweatshop Clothing can be viewed at the company’s MySpace page linked here.

Reebok Reverse Jam “Monopoly” Pack

Reebok Reverse Jam Monopoly Pack - #1

We told you about these Monopoly shoes a few months back. The Reebok Reverse Jam “Monopoly” Pack is inspired by the legendary board game and features three different version of the Reverse Jam - each inspired by a different aspect of the game.

If you like these kind of bold shoes that are more conversational pieces than anything, then you will definitely like this pack. Though I’m not a big fan of these shoes, I think the dice laces on the version above and pretty sweet. These shoes are very detailed, so cool to just check out all the details. If anything, these kicks are a good collectible.

Look for these at Reebok retailers in upcoming months - tentative release date is the end of August. Via High Snobiety and Streething.
